"IT IS A JOY TO BE HIDDEN AND A DISASTER NOT TO BE FOUND"

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Self-knowledge is a lifelong journey. The ideal client is one who has willingness to move inward toward self-knowledge. This most effectively occurs as we explore ourselves in relationship to others. The fit between you and your therapist is fundamental to this process. It is imperative for you to feel safe and supported by your therapist in order to tolerate and receive the compassionate honesty and gentle confronting which are the keys to this transformative work. If you are willing and ready to confront your light and shadow, I welcome you to move inward, together.

My philosophy of true mental health is the ability to tolerate the ambivalence of positive and negative experiences in life while maintaining an authentic connection to the self and others. I integrate  psychodynamic, relational, intersubjective and transpersonal orientations with intersectional feminism. I find working within and among these philosophies we gain a fuller picture of your experiences, how to reach therapeutic goals and a general sense of well-being. I provide a safe environment working collaboratively with adolescents, adults, partners, friends and families in exploring issues including sexual and gender diversity, LGBTQIP2SA+ identities, consensual non-monogamy, sexual function and dysfunction, anxiety, depression, aging, racial and cultural issues, trauma, and difficulty in relationships.

My private practice is located in Santa Monica, CA.
